A kitchen is twenty-four decisions that all move the number. Estiquik's kitchen template lists every one of them — cabinets by the linear foot, countertop by the square foot, the five appliances, the four trades — with a starting price scaled to your province or state. Change what is different about this job, and it is an estimate.
Every line below arrives with a starting price scaled to your province or state. Quantities are the template's defaults — you change them to the job. Prices are deliberately not shown here, because yours will differ from ours and the point is that they are editable.

Line items as shipped in Estiquik's Kitchen Renovation template on 7 September 2026. Contingency defaults to 15% on this template; markup and tax are yours. How the whole estimate is built.
The kitchen template ships with 24 line items across the kitchen and an optional pantry, each with a quantity, a unit and a researched starting price. Cabinets are priced per linear foot, countertop and backsplash per square foot, appliances each, and the trades — demolition and disposal, cabinet and counter install, plumbing, electrical, tile and flooring — as lots or per square foot of install.
Every price is a starting point scaled by a regional index for your province or state, and every one is editable. Correct the cabinet rate to what your supplier actually charges and it is remembered as your baseline for the next kitchen. Contingency defaults to 15%, because a kitchen hides plumbing and electrical surprises behind every cabinet run, and markup is your own number.
Contingency is applied to cost first, then your markup, then the tax for your region — GST, HST or PST by province, state tax in the US. The markup calculator shows what any markup really keeps as margin, and contingency vs markup explains why they are separate lines.
Attach the PDF or a photo, set the scale, and the plan takeoff sends measured quantities to these lines with the prices left for you. For this job type, the measurements that matter:
trace the base and upper runs as lengths — the template prices cabinets per linear foot.
areas, with the sink cut-out left in; waste and slab seams are the fabricator's problem, not the takeoff's.
the room to the finished faces, under the appliances but not under the cabinets if they are staying.
counted from the electrical plan's tags; the template's six pot lights is a placeholder, the drawing is the truth.
Or a signing link. The client signs from their phone; name, time and document fingerprint are recorded. Follow-ups go out automatically on Pro.
Scope, payment schedule with deposit, draws and holdback, change-order clause. E-signed and filed with the job.
The extra pot lights, the upgraded tile. Each one rolls into a revised contract value, so the final invoice is never a surprise.
Deposit, draws and completion from the schedule on the estimate, with a Pay by card button through your own Stripe and e-Transfers recorded.
There is no one number, and this page will not invent one. The template gives you the twenty-four lines a mid-range kitchen needs, at starting prices for your region; the total is whatever your quantities and your corrected prices make it. Price one real kitchen and you will have a better figure than any cost guide, because it is yours.
Yes — refrigerator, range, dishwasher, range hood and microwave, each as its own line so you can mark them as client-supplied, allowances, or included. Most contractors leave appliances as a stated allowance.
Every line is editable, deletable and re-orderable, and you can add rooms — a pantry is already there as an optional room. Save your version as your own template and the next kitchen starts from it.
Estiquik does not do design, layouts or 3D. It prices the job the designer drew. Attach the drawing to the estimate and take the quantities off it.
