Build up to three estimates, keep your client records, get your state or province's sales tax worked out for you, and print or save a PDF to hand to the homeowner. No card to sign up, nothing that expires, and nothing deleted if you never pay us a cent.
Most "free" contractor apps are a trial with the clock hidden, or a plan that caps you at a handful of documents a month and then nags. We would rather you build an actual estimate for an actual homeowner — a basement, a bathroom, a deck — and hand it over, with no deadline on when you make up your mind.
Three estimates is enough to do that properly and not enough to run a business on, which is the point. If you are quoting every week, Starter is $19.99 a month (CA$24.99), lifts the limit, and adds the parts that turn an estimate into money: emailing it, getting it signed, invoicing it and taking a card payment.
Forever means forever. An account that never subscribes stays on Free. An account whose trial or subscription ends drops back to Free — it is never locked, your estimates and clients stay where they are, and you can still open and print them. We do not delete data for lapsing, and we do not use your estimates to train anything.
Estiquik's Free plan does not invoice. Here is what it does instead, and where invoicing sits.
Say so and we will point you elsewhere: Square Invoices has a free tier, and it is a better fit than Estiquik if you already know every price and just need to bill. Joist, by contrast, has withdrawn its free plan; its cheapest tier is $10 a month capped at five documents. Estiquik is an estimator that invoices, not an invoice maker — the free part is the estimating, because that is where a job is won or lost.
You can have both. The trial is a look at a paid plan; Free is where the account lives when nothing is paid.

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card, and does not expire. It keeps up to three estimates built from a blank sheet, with client records and your region's sales tax worked out for you, and you can print them or save a PDF to hand over.
The three you have stay open, editable and printable. A fourth is not created until you move to Starter, which lifts the limit — the estimator tells you why rather than failing quietly. You can also delete an old estimate to make room. Nothing is deleted for you.
No. Free builds and prints estimates. Invoicing, emailing the estimate and the e-signature link are on Starter, which has a 14-day trial that also needs no card. If the trial ends without a subscription, the account drops back to Free and keeps its data.
Not from inside Estiquik — sending is a Starter feature. You can save the PDF and attach it to your own email, which is what most people do on Free.
No, not for the Free plan and not to start the 14-day trial of a paid plan. A card is asked for only when you choose to subscribe, and the price you see at checkout is the price charged, in your own currency.
No. There is no trial clock on Free. An account that never subscribes, or whose subscription ends, stays on Free with its estimates and clients intact.
The seven templates carry researched labour and material rates for your state or province — that pricing data is the expensive part of Estiquik, and it is what Starter pays for. Free gives you the same estimator with a blank sheet: your own line items, your own prices, and the tax and totals done for you.
Estiquik runs in any modern browser and installs to your phone or desktop as a web app — no app store needed. An Android app is on its way. The Free plan works the same everywhere.
Yes. Estimates export to CSV and JSON on every plan, including Free, and any estimate prints or saves as a PDF. Your data leaves with you.
Store it so you can use it. We do not sell customer data, and we do not use your estimates to train anything. The privacy policy and security page say exactly what is kept and where.
Three estimates, your client list, tax done for you, a PDF to hand over. Upgrade only if you want it to send and invoice.
