Price Lock Guarantee
Software companies raise prices on the people least able to argue about it. We would rather not be one of them, and we would rather you didn't have to take that on faith. So here is the guarantee in full — it is short enough to read before you get out of the truck.
Start a paid Estiquik subscription on or before 31 October 2026 and the rate you pay on your first invoice is the rate you keep for 24 months. That holds through every renewal in those 24 months, monthly or annual, in US dollars or Canadian dollars. If we raise our published prices during that time — and at some point we probably will — your subscription is not touched until your lock runs out. When it does, we will email you at least 30 days before anything changes, and you can cancel at any point without a fee.
What is locked
- Your plan's rate, at the price shown when you subscribed — Starter, Pro or Crew.
- Every renewal inside the 24 months. Monthly plans renew at the locked rate each month; annual plans renew once at the locked annual rate.
- Your currency. A Canadian subscription locks the CAD price, not a US price converted on the day.
- The plan you are on, as it exists. If a feature you use today moves to a higher tier for new customers, it stays on your plan for the length of your lock.
What is not locked
Being straight about this is the whole reason this page exists.
- Sales tax, GST/HST and VAT. These are set by your government, we collect and remit them, and they can change. The lock covers our price, not the tax on it.
- Card processing fees charged by Stripe when your customers pay an invoice. Those are Stripe's, not ours.
- Changing plans. Moving between tiers is covered below.
- What happens after month 24. The lock ends and your price becomes our published price for your plan — with at least 30 days' notice by email before the first invoice at the new rate.
The situations people actually ask about
I want to upgrade from Starter to Pro during my lock.
You pay the current published price for the tier you move up to, and that new rate is locked for whatever is left of your original 24 months. Upgrading never restarts the clock, and it never costs you the protection you already had.
I want to downgrade.
You pay the locked rate for the lower tier if you were locked into one, and otherwise the current published price — again for the remainder of your 24 months.
I cancel and come back later.
The lock ends when the subscription ends. If you resubscribe within 30 days, your original lock resumes for whatever time was left on it — the winter slowdown shouldn't cost you your rate. After 30 days you are on whatever price is published the day you come back.
A payment fails and my subscription lapses.
A failed payment does not end your lock. If the subscription is cancelled for non-payment and you restart it, the rule above applies.
I am on Crew and my team grows.
Crew is one price for a workspace of up to 10 people, so your rate does not change as you add people up to that limit.
I already subscribe. Do I get this?
If you subscribed before 1 September 2026 you are on the terms you agreed to then — which for subscriptions started before 21 August 2026 already means a grandfathered rate. We do not move anyone to a worse deal than the one they already have.
How the lock is enforced
Not by a promise on a marketing page. Your locked rate and its end date are recorded on your subscription when you sign up, and the billing system charges that rate on every renewal until the date passes. You can see both the rate and the date yourself on your Billing page at any time.
Why we are doing this
Estiquik is built for the contractor who does the estimating at the kitchen table after the crew goes home. That customer's software bill is not a rounding error, and a $10 increase is not a "modest adjustment" — it is another job's worth of margin gone to something that did not change.
We would rather grow by being worth staying on than by counting on people being too busy to leave. The lock is how we put that in writing. The free migration is how we make sure it is a real choice: export your data from whatever you use now and bring it with you — clients, estimates and invoices. If you want a hand, email the file to support@estiquik.com and we will do it with you on a call.
Fine print
- Applies to new paid subscriptions started between 1 September 2026 and 31 October 2026, one lock per account.
- The 24 months run from the date of your first successful payment. A free trial does not start the clock and does not need to.
- The lock covers subscription fees only, and does not survive cancellation except as described above.
- We may close the promotion to new signups at any time. Locks already granted are unaffected — closing the offer never shortens a lock someone already has.
- This guarantee sits alongside our Terms of Service. Where the price-change provisions in section 3 of the Terms and this guarantee disagree, this guarantee wins for the length of your lock.
Lock your price. Two years at the rate you sign up for, and we will move your clients, estimates and invoices over from your current app for free.
