How to Add a Booking Link to Your Google Business Profile as a Contractor
The contractors who show up on Google Maps with a Book button are not using anything exotic. They pasted a link into one field in their Google Business Profile. Here is where that field is, what to paste into it, and what should happen on the other end when a homeowner taps the button at ten at night.
Two different things called booking
Google's Business Profile has two features that both put a Book button on your listing, and only one of them is available to a renovation contractor without a middleman:
- Appointment links. You paste a URL. Google shows a Book button; tapping it opens your page. Any verified profile in a service category can do this, today, for nothing.
- Reserve with Google. The homeowner books inside Google without leaving the listing. It only works through an approved scheduling partner, for the business categories Google supports, and getting listed as a partner is a programme, not a setting. Some contractors pay for a standalone scheduler mainly to get this; the appointment link gives them the same button without it.
Everything below is the appointment link.
Step 1: have somewhere for the link to go
The button is only as good as the page behind it. A contact form technically works, but the homeowner tapped Book expecting to book something. For a contractor the thing to book is the site visit — the appointment that produces the estimate.
In Estiquik, Booking page in the sidebar gives every Pro account a public link at estiquik.com/book/your-name. Claim the name, set the days and hours you take visits, and switch Take bookings on. Times you already have a job on the schedule are never offered, and if you paste your Google or Apple Calendar's private iCal address, its busy times are blocked too.

Copy the link. That is what goes into Google.
Step 2: open your Business Profile
There is no separate dashboard any more. Signed in to the Google account that manages the profile, search your business name in Google Search or open it in Google Maps, and the management panel appears above the listing. Press Edit profile.
On a phone, the same thing lives in the Google Maps app: your profile picture, then Your Business Profile, then Edit profile.
Step 3: find Booking
In Edit profile, look for a section called Booking — on some profiles Appointment links, on some Bookings. It sits with the other business information, near your website and hours. If you do not see it at all, check two things: the profile is verified, and the primary category is a service business — General contractor, Kitchen remodeler, Bathroom remodeler, Deck builder. Google decides which features a listing gets by category.
Step 4: paste the link and save
Add the link — it must start with https:// — and save. You can add more than one; the first one is the one the Book button uses, so put the booking page first and your website's contact page second if you want both.
Give it a day at most. Then search your business name in a private window, or signed out, and look at the listing the way a homeowner does: the Book button sits with Call, Directions and Website.
Step 5: put the same link everywhere else
The Business Profile is where the intent is highest, but the link is a link. The Booking page in Estiquik lists the next places, with a ready-made button to paste:

- Your website. A Book a site visit button in the header, or the embed snippet from the Booking page.
- Instagram and Facebook. The link in your bio and behind the Book now button on the page.
- Estimates you email. Your email signature or terms can carry it for repeat work — the client who wants the bathroom done next spring books the visit themselves.
- The truck. A QR code to the same link on the door or the lawn sign.
What happens when someone taps it
This is the part the standalone schedulers skip. A booking is only useful if it lands where you already work, and with Estiquik it does:
- The homeowner picks a time you have open, gives their name, phone, email and the property address, and describes the job. No account, no app.
- The visit appears on your schedule, blocked around the jobs already there.
- They are added to Clients with the source Online booking, and a lead is created at Site visit booked with what they wrote as the first note. If you already had a lead with that email, it moves instead of doubling.
- They get a confirmation email and a reminder the evening before. You get an email with everything they typed.
- After the visit, the estimate starts from the client record the booking created — and the lead moves to Estimate sent when you send it.
The online booking page covers the settings — days, hours, visit length, visits per day, notice, horizon — and what it deliberately does not do.
Three things to get right
- Notice. Set the notice you need — a day is the default — so a booking at 10 p.m. is never for 8 a.m. tomorrow.
- Visits per day. Two is the default. A site visit is an hour on the road and an hour in the house; four in a day is a day with no work in it.
- Turn it off when you are full. The Take bookings switch takes the button's page down without removing the link from Google; the page tells the homeowner to call instead.
Questions contractors ask
Can a contractor get a Book button on Google Maps?
Yes. In your Google Business Profile, Edit profile has a Booking (or Appointment links) section where you paste any https link. Google then shows a Book button on your listing in Maps and Search. You do not need Reserve with Google, which is a separate partner programme for scheduling providers.
What is the difference between an appointment link and Reserve with Google?
An appointment link is a URL you add yourself; the Book button sends the homeowner to that page. Reserve with Google lets people book inside Google without leaving, but only through an approved scheduling partner and only for business categories Google supports. For a renovation contractor the appointment link is the one that works today.
What link should I use?
A page where the homeowner can actually book something — for a contractor, a site visit. A contact form works but loses the point of the button. Estiquik's booking page gives every Pro account a public link at estiquik.com/book/your-name that books the visit straight onto your schedule.
Why does the Booking section not appear on my profile?
Google shows booking features by business category, and the label moves between Booking, Appointment links and Bookings depending on the category and whether you are on desktop or the Maps app. If you see none of them, check that your primary category is a service business (general contractor, kitchen remodeler, bathroom remodeler) and that the profile is verified.
How long until the button shows?
Usually within a day, sometimes minutes. Search your business name while signed out, or in a private window, to see the listing the way a homeowner does.
What happens when someone books through the link?
With Estiquik's booking page: they pick a time you have open, give the address and describe the job; the visit lands on your schedule, they are added to Clients and to Leads at Site visit booked, they get a confirmation and an evening-before reminder, and you get an email with everything they wrote.
